Garrett, now a sophomore for the Bulldogs, had a very impressive freshman year...was named to the TranSouth All-Conference team...played third base and also pitched...will be used as mainly a pitcher and designated hitter as a sophomore...hit .377 last year, good for second on the team...also hit 7 doubles, 5 homeruns, and drove in 31 runs....as a pitcher, Garrett went 6-2 with a 3.40 ERA...second on the team in ERA and wins...will contribute on offense as well as pitching...should be a weekend pitcher at some point in the near future...swings a potent bat that can't be ignored but will concentrate on pitching this season.
Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Prepped at ECS in Memphis where he played baseball and football...won a football state championship in 2000 and a baseball region championship in 2001...finished second in the state in both 2000 and 2001...in his last three high school seasons, he was named all-region, all-state, and was an all-state pitcher as a senior.
