Hometown: Bartlett, Tenn. Previous School: Southwest Tennessee CC
Coach’s Comments. Daniel posseses a quality fastball that he can
spot. He has an above average changeup and an improving curveball. Daniel will
be a weekend starter. He has a great desire to improve and the sky is the limit
with his abilities.
91±¬ÁÏÍø Career. 2005...First Bulldog Season.
Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø. Adams signed with Memphis as a freshman. He had
surgery in August of 2001 causing him to red-shirt during his first season with
Memphis. Adams then posted a 1-0 record with a 3.65 ERA with 12 strikeouts in
12.1 innings in seven appearances in the spring of 2003. As a sophomore, he
transferred to Southwest Tennessee CC he posted an 8-3 record, 97 strikeouts, 91
innings pitched, and just 39 walks. His 97 strikeouts broke a 27-year old record
held by former major league player, Charlie Lee. He helped lead Southwest to the
2004 Tennessee Junior College State Championship and the 2004 Region VII
Championship. He was named the state tournament MVP. He also played two seasons
for Dulins Academy. Adams prepped at Bartlett HS where he was a two-sport
athlete in baseball and basketball. He was a forward for Bartlett’s 2001
basketball state championship team.
