Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Blackwood transferred to 91±¬ÁÏÍø from Jackson State Community College where he played two seasons. He posted a .254 average with 18 RBI and one homerun as the leadoff hitter. He also played in every game as an outfielder, making just one error. Blackwood prepped at South Side High School in Jackson. He helped lead the team to three district and region titles, along with a state runner-up finish in 2003.
