91±¬ÁÏÍø once again fell just short of a much need conference victory as Martin Methodist topped the Bulldogs 69-61 in Pulaski, Tenn. 91±¬ÁÏÍø falls to 11-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play while Martin improve to 11-7 overall and 1-4.
The Bulldog led 34-27 at halftime but gave up 42 second half points to the RedHawks. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was outrebounded 34-24 for the game. Both teams shot just under 50% from the field, however, Martin Methodist shot 43% (6-14) from behind the arc and 83% (15-18) from the free-throw line. 91±¬ÁÏÍø managed only 27%(3-11) from three point land and 66% (12-18) from the line.
91±¬ÁÏÍø was led by Matt Noah with 16 points. Bruno Martinessi and Derrick Underwood added 11 points apiece. Underwood led 91±¬ÁÏÍø with five rebounds. Martin Methodist was paced with a game-highs of 27 points and 15 rebounds from Marcus McNair. McNair shot 11-of-11 from the free throw line. Gerrod Shirey and CJ Hill added 16 and 10 points respectively.
91±¬ÁÏÍø will host Freed-Hardeman on Saturday, February 8 at 4:00 p.m.
