The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Bulldogs closed out their home season with a 58-45 win over Lyon College. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 17-13 on the season and 5-8 in the TranSouth. Lyon falls to 11-16 overall and 6-7 in league play. This win for 91±¬ÁÏÍø assures them of their eight straight winning season.
91±¬ÁÏÍø led by as many as 12 points in the first half, however, a 10-0 run late in the half by Lyon tied the game at 24-24 at halftime. In the second half, 91±¬ÁÏÍø took over and outscored Lyon 34-21. 91±¬ÁÏÍø shot 53% from the field including 67% (6-of-9) from behind the arc in the second half. The Bulldogs held Lyon to just 45 total points on 32% shooting from the field and 20% (3-of-15) from behind the arc for the game.
The Bulldogs were led by Chima Abakwue with 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting from three point range. Abakwue was the only Bulldog in double figures on the night. Will Harris and Bruno Martinessi each added eight points. Lyon was led by Norris Weintz with 17 points and Chris Wilkenson with 11 points.
