The No. 3 ranked 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs defeated Martin Methodist College 98-69 in 91±¬ÁÏÍø's final home game of the season. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 29-2 overall and 14-1 in the TranSouth. Martin Methodist College is now 10-17 overall and 4-11 in conference play.
On a night when Martin Methodist senior, Kim Loop's scored her 2,000th career point, the Lady Bulldogs also enjoyed big nights from their two seniors. Senior forward Tashekia Brown led 91±¬ÁÏÍø with 20 points, 16 of those coming in the first half. Four other Lady Bulldogs scored in double-figures. Laura Mitchell scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from behind the arc. Senior center Allison Harrison added 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Ginger Bryant scored 14 points and Jennifer Henson added 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from three point land. 91±¬ÁÏÍø shot 51% from the field including 42% (10-24) from behind the arc. 91±¬ÁÏÍø held Martin Methodist to just 39% shooting and only 27 second half points. 91±¬ÁÏÍø led 49-42 at the break.
Martin Methodist was led by Loop with 23 points and nine rebounds. Annette Martin and Zuzanna Janessikova added 13 and 11 points respectively.
