Blue Mountain College (Miss.) vs. Lady Bulldog Basketball

91±¬ÁÏÍø continued their perfect ways in the TranSouth Conference with a 75-59 win over Blue Mountain College. The Lady Bulldogs led by 24 at halftime (44-20) and stretched that lead to as many as 27 in the second half. Blue Mountain posted a late 9-0 run to finish the game and pull the final deficit to within 16 points. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 17-1 overall and 5-0 in league play, while Blue Mountain losses their second straight conference game to fall to 2-3 in TranSouth play and 11-7 overall.

91±¬ÁÏÍø was again led by Stephanie Clark with 24 points. LaTorya Fuller added 19 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Senior forward and Jackson native Ginger Bryant fell just one point shy of a double-double for the night with nine points and 10 rebounds. Bryant also added six blocks on the evening.

Blue Mountain boasted three players in double figures led by Sheree McDowell with 20 points. Cristy Turner and Tracy Rice added 11 points each.

The Lady Bulldogs played a somewhat sloppy game by committing 25 turnovers and managed on 1-of-8 shooting from behind the arc (13%). 91±¬ÁÏÍø, however, played well in the post with with 29 points in the paint and shooting 53% from the field. 91±¬ÁÏÍø also made 74% (20-27) of their free throws.

91±¬ÁÏÍø is home next on Thursday night as the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will host Trevecca Nazarene University. The women's game starts at 6:00 p.m. with the men's game to follow at about 8:00 p.m.
