Jackson, Tenn.—91±¬ÁÏÍø University continues to add to their 2001-02 roster as head coach Ralph Turner signed Mike Simpson, a native of Bartlett, Tenn. Simpson, a 6-4 200 lb. point guard, transfers to 91±¬ÁÏÍø from cross-town rival Lambuth University where he averaged six assists per game. While playing his high school basketball at Bolton High School in Memphis, Simpson averaged nine points, eight rebounds, and seven assists per game and was named to the 14AAA All-District team. As a sophomore, he led all Memphis area schools in assists and finished his high school career with a five-to-one assist to turnover ratio.
