Jackson, Tenn. - 9/26/2001 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø golf team finished first in the Indian Invitational hosted by Martin Methodist College. The Bulldogs tallied a two-round total of 586, shooting a 288 on the first day and a 298 on the second. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was the only school, of the 10 colleges competing, to score a round under 300, in which the Bulldogs did twice.
91±¬ÁÏÍø's five golfers all finished in the top seven of the field. 91±¬ÁÏÍø's Clark Short won the individual standings in a playoff hole against Wes Cartwright of Lindsey Wilson College. Both players shot a two day total of 144. 91±¬ÁÏÍø's other four golfers finished with Jeff Page at third place with a score of 145, Anthony McElroy at fourth place with a score of 149, Chris Webb at sixth place with a score of 150, and Jeff Reuter at seventh place with a score of 151.
