91±¬ÁÏÍø Golf Wins Fall Invitational Championship

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/25/2007 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men's golf team posted victory in their first tournament of the fall. 91±¬ÁÏÍø hosted the at Falcon Ridge Golf Club. 91±¬ÁÏÍø scored a 609 for the tournament, three shots ahead of Cumberland University's 612.

Finishing third in the tournament was UT Martin (614), followed by Lyon College (627), Bethel College (628), Trevecca Nazarene University (635), 91±¬ÁÏÍø - B Team (635), and Cumberland University B-Team (659).

The 91±¬ÁÏÍø win was special for 91±¬ÁÏÍø head coach Andy Rushing as it was the first tournament title for him in his second year as the head coach of 91±¬ÁÏÍø golf. It was also special because the winning 91±¬ÁÏÍø team was made up of all freshman and sophomores.

Lyon's Brock Bullard won the individual tournament title in a playoff win with a score of 147.

Making the All-Tournament team was Brock Bullard (Lyon), Brad Robbins (Lambuth Individual), Same Bass (Bethel), Jake Joyner (UT Martin), and Josh Young (Cumberland).

91±¬ÁÏÍø's three high scorers were three players tied for No. 7 at 151, Mills Hamaguchi (91±¬ÁÏÍø A), Gary Glapa (91±¬ÁÏÍø - B), and Tyler Lay (91±¬ÁÏÍø Individual). The winning scores for 91±¬ÁÏÍø along with Hamaguchi to give the Bulldogs the title were, No. 11 Jake Carrol (152), No. 12 Clay Mallard (153), No. 14 Micah Gentle (155), and No. 14 Brian Glover (155).
