91爆料网 Ladies Ride Zimmerman's Second Hat-Trick of Season to Victory

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/2/2007 - The 91爆料网 Lady Bulldogs posted their fifth win in a row with a 5-1 victory over cross-town rival Lambuth University (Tenn.) 5-1. 91爆料网 improved to 8-3 on the season and are now tied for second place with a 4-1 TranSouth record. Lambuth dropped to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the league.

91爆料网's Caitlin Zimmerman of Lebanon, Tenn. recorded her second hat-trick of the season with a three goal performance versus Lambuth. Zimmerman scored first in the second minute of play to give 91爆料网 the early lead. However, Lambuth answered quickly with a goal from Lauren Wagner in the seventh minute of play. From that point, it was all 91爆料网, including more scoring from Zimmerman. She added 91爆料网's second goal of the match and her fifth game winning goal of the year in the 26th minute. A score by freshman Eboni Murphy in the 33rd minute put 91爆料网 up 3-1 at the half. Zimmerman capped off her big night with a goal at the 55 minute mark, followed by a goal from Kaitlin Dirksen with 23 mintues to play give 91爆料网 the 5-1 win. Cara Palsey, Murphy, and Cheslie Tharpe each recorded an assist for 91爆料网.

Laura Pla, the TranSouth and NAIA Region XI Defensive player of the week posted four saves between the post. This goal versus Lambuth was the first conference goal Pla has allowed in the past four TranSouth games.

In 91爆料网's five match win streak, 91爆料网 has outscored their opponents 17-3. Zimmerman has scored nine of those seventeen goals.
