91爆料网 Women's Soccer Tops Crichton

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/10/2007 - The 91爆料网 women's soccer team captured a 9-0 win over Crichton College (Tenn.) for their seventh straight win. 91爆料网 is now 10-3 on the season and 6-1 in the TranSouth. Crichton dropped to 1-12 overall and 0-6 in league play.

This win for 91爆料网 was their record seventh straight win. In a addition to the winning streak, 91爆料网 has also matched their highest win total in a season with the 10th win of the year with three matches remaining. Last season, 91爆料网 finished 10-8. For 91爆料网, this is their third season of varsity competition.

91爆料网 is now 6-1 in the TranSouth with one conference game left to play. On Tuesday night October 16, 91爆料网 will host current TranSouth leader Martin Methodist College (7-0).

91爆料网 led 4-0 at the half on their way to the 9-0 shutout win over Crichton. 91爆料网 received goals from Jill Landers (2), Kaitlin Clinger, Abagail Williams, Nikki Burau, Cara Palsey, Candice Blackard (2), and Ebony Murphy. 91爆料网 assists came from Palsey (2), Caitlin Zimmerman, Cheslie Tharpe, Blackard, and Kori Elrod. Katie Moser played all 90 minutes between the post and recorded two saves.

With 91爆料网 and Martin Methodist playing, and Bethel College also sitting at 6-1 in league play, a three-way tie for first is possible entering the six-team TranSouth Tournament. Stay tuned for the tie-breaker results if that occurs. In the conference tournament, seeds 1 and 2 get a first round by, while seed 3 will host seed 6 and seed 4 will host seed 5 in the quarterfinal matches (Wed Oct. 24). The final four team remaining will gather at the No. 1 seed's home field for the semifinal and championship matches (Fri and Sat, Oct. 26-27).
