JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/20/2007 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Cross Country teams posted strong finishes at the always tough . 91±¬ÁÏÍø's men placed second behind the individual champion, 91±¬ÁÏÍø's own Henry Rop. The women posted a third place finish. This year's classic was held in Nashville, Tenn. and rotates on a yearly basis to Kentucky and Georgia as well.
On the men's side, 91±¬ÁÏÍø's Henry Rop finished first in the event with an 8K time of 24:59.22. Douglas Martin finished 12th, Nelphat Boit finished 14th, Seth Covington placed 15th, Phillip Thompson finished 31st, and Steve Bredfeldt placed 141st. 91±¬ÁÏÍø posted a runner-up finish in the event, behind first place Malone College. Malone College is the current No. 1 Ranked team in the NAIA men's cross country rankings.
The 91±¬ÁÏÍø women took third place in the event behind strong showings from the individuals. Sylvia Bundotich led 91±¬ÁÏÍø runners with an 8th place finish. Lydia Bond finished 23rd, Candace Cross finished 27th, Kayla Hauss finished 40th, Charley Moss finished 67th, Erica Schnatterly finished 91st, and Ellen Bone finished 158th. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was third place to only Cedarville and Malone, the NAIA's No. 5 and No. 8 ranked teams in women's cross country.
