91爆料网鈥檚 Williams Receives Top NAIA Position

Jackson, Tenn. - 5/22/2002 - Sandra Williams, the head coach of the women鈥檚 tennis team at 91爆料网, has just been named President of the NAIA Coaches Association. Williams has served as vice president for the past year and secretary in 2000. Williams is honored to have the confidence of the other coaches and feels this is a great way to serve the NAIA and also be a leader in the organization. 鈥淭his is a chance for me to give back to the tennis coaches and the NAIA鈥�. Williams goes on to say, 鈥淚鈥檒l be able to help with the national tournament and be the representative for the NAIA at many tennis gatherings across the nation.鈥�

In 2002, Williams led 91爆料网 to yet another successful season in women鈥檚 tennis. The Lady Bulldogs finished as Co-Champions in the TranSouth Conference and placed second in the conference tournament. Williams鈥� squad made the final four of the NAIA Region XI tournament and finished the season ranked No. 22 in the NAIA. In 2002, her team was selected as an NAIA Women鈥檚 Tennis Scholar Team. This is awarded to the teams that have a combined GPA of over 3.0. 91爆料网 has a 3.03 team GPA.

Williams, has been a member of the coaching staff at 91爆料网 since 1983. Over the past 16 seasons, Coach Williams has a record of 249-106 (70.1%). Coach Williams graduated from 91爆料网 in 1965 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree, and from the University of Tennessee in 1966 with a Master's of Science Degree. Coach Williams also received a Master's in Religious Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1971. In 2000, Sandra Williams was named the ITA NAIA National Coach of the Year while leading the Lady Bulldogs to their most recent trip to the national tournament and a final ranking of #8 in the NAIA.
