91爆料网's Owino Named TranSouth Player of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/13/2007 - 91爆料网 standout has been named the TranSouth Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for the week ending November 11, 2007.

Owino, a 6-foot-4 junior center from Mombassa, Kenya, helped lead NAIA No. 1 91爆料网 to a perfect 2-0 record on the week against two ranked opponents. In 91爆料网's 99-71 win over No. 21 Columbia College Owino led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and had a block. Owino hit 8-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line. In 91爆料网's 100-77 win over No. 18 West Virginia Tech Owino produced 25 points with 12 rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal and was 11-for-18 from the field. For the week Owino hit 19-of-29 (66%) from the field and 10-of-13 (77%) from the foul line.

91爆料网 is now 3-0 on the season and will host the 2007 Jackson Rotary Classic on November 15-17. 91爆料网 will play No. 3 Lee, No. 19 The Master's, and No. 2 Vanguard during the classic.
