91爆料网 Ladies No. 1 for Sixth Straight Poll, Men Back in Rankings

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/23/2008 - The 91爆料网 Lady Bulldogs remain the NAIA鈥檚 No. 1 ranked team in the latest national rankings. 91爆料网 has held the top spot in each of the six polls this season. The 91爆料网 men, who received votes this week, are back in the polls after missing the rankings for the first time in 52 straight polls. Prior to last week, the last time 91爆料网鈥檚 men were not listed in the NAIA rankings was the final poll of 2003.

The 91爆料网 women have won 38 of their last 40 games dating back to January 11 of last season. Currently, 91爆料网 is 17-0 overall and 6-0 in the TranSouth. The last time 91爆料网 started the season 17-0 was the 2004-05 season when 91爆料网 also started 17-0. 91爆料网 lost their 18th game that year at home to Trevecca Nazarene 74-64. However, 91爆料网 went on to win the first of two straight NAIA National Championships in 2005.

Over the last three games, 91爆料网 has scored an average of 56 points in the first half versus Lambuth, Cumberland, and Martin Methodist. (Lambuth: 53 first half points, 70% FG, 64% 3pt) (Cumberland: 60 1st half points, 67% FG, 58% 3pt) (Martin Methodist: 55 1st half points, 64% FG, 59% 3pt).

91爆料网 has made at least 10 three pointers as a team in eight of their last nine games. The only exception was nine made versus Lyon. 91爆料网 is ranked in the top-7 of the NAIA in all three shooting categories, including No. 1 and No. 2 in field goal and three point percentages respectively. 91爆料网 is seventh in the NAIA in free-throw percentage.

91爆料网鈥檚 men are winners of two straight games, both of which were over ranked teams. After starting the conference season 1-3, 91爆料网 has pulled even with a 3-3 mark. Of 91爆料网's first six conference games, four have been against the top four teams in the league. Of 91爆料网鈥檚 16 games on the season, 12 of the 16 teams have been ranked or receiving votes. 91爆料网 is 9-7 overall and 3-3 in the conference. 91爆料网 is 6-6 in those 12 games versus ranked teams.

Matt Neaville, led the nation in scoring each week of the season until this past weekend. In 91爆料网鈥檚 10 non-conference (of which eight were against ranked teams), Neaville averaged 30.2 points per game. In 91爆料网鈥檚 six conference games, Neaville is averaging 17.0 points per game. Neaville continues to lead the NAIA with 4.8 three pointers made per game. 91爆料网 leads the NAIA with 15.6 three pointers made per game. The Bulldogs made at least 10 three pointers in nine of their first 11 games, but not more that ten in any of their past five games.
