JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/4/2008 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø volleyball team has added to the roster for the come fall season. Adams, a native of Orange, California, will enter 91±¬ÁÏÍø this fall as a junior and will complete her degree in Communications.
91±¬ÁÏÍø head coach Steven Gream states, "Katie is a talented young lady who, as a setter, will take over our powerful offense." Gream addes, "She is an incredible setter who not only has great hands but also has excellent court awareness. Katie has proven her skills well in playing in the California Junior College State Tournament and leading her team to a 3rd place finish."
Adams, a 5-foot-8 setter, played two seasons of volleyball at Fullerton Community College in Fullerton, California. In 2007, she helped lead the team to a third place finish in the state, following a conference championship season in 2006. She earned second team All-Conference honors as a sophomore, ranking third in the state with 12.86 assists per game. She also posted 2.32 digs per game at Fullerton.
Adams prepped at Orange Lutheran High School where she helped her team win two league titles. She was named All-Tournament, first team All-League, and League MVP at a senior.
