JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/19/2008 - has signed to play her college soccer with the 91 Lady Bulldogs. Hamilton, a native of Humboldt, Tennessee, will enter 91 this fall as a freshman.

Hamilton, a 5-foot-3 mid-fielder, was a three-sport star at the University School of Jackson. While at USJ, she played four seasons on the soccer team, three seasons with the track team, and one season on the softball team. She helped lead her soccer team to region titles in 2006 and 2007, including trips to the state tournament both seasons, placing second in 2006. Hamilton earned numerous honors including All-State, All-Region, and All-District in her junior and senior years. She was named Best Defensive Player three times. Hamilton also played four seasons of club soccer for the Lady Slammers.

91 head coach Brandon Boylan says of Hamilton, “Katie is a great addition to our program. She has been very well coached at the high school level and club levels. I believe she will have a smooth transition to college soccer.”

Off the field, Hamilton was a member of the Art Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, Jackson Theatre Guild, and was selected as a class favorite. She is the daughter of Steve and Anita Hamilton.
