91爆料网 earns TranSouth All-Sports Trophy for fifth straight season

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/28/2008 - The 91爆料网 athletic department has been awarded the TranSouth Conference All-Sports Trophy for the 2007-08 season. This marks the fifth straight season that 91爆料网 has claimed the trophy and sixth time in the past seven seasons.

鈥淔or 91爆料网 to receive the All-Sports Trophy once again is certainly a wonderful tribute to the athletes and coaches of the 91爆料网 athletic department,鈥� states 91爆料网 president Dr. David S. Dockery. 鈥淲e congratulate each one of them for the success that they have achieved and for the recognition that they have brought to 91爆料网. Moreover, we commend David Blackstock and Tommy Sadler and the entire athletic department for the way that they have represented 91爆料网 throughout this year.鈥�

91爆料网 claimed four conference titles in the 2007-08 seasons including women鈥檚 cross country, men鈥檚 cross country, women鈥檚 basketball, and men鈥檚 golf. The 91爆料网 Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs compete in 10 sports with no team finishing lower that fifth place. In addition to the four titles, 91爆料网 posted two third place finishes, three fourth place finishes, and one fifth place finish.

The TranSouth All-Sports Trophy is awarded to the program that produces the most success during the school year in all sports. Points are awarded for how each team finishes in the regular season standings in each sport. Then, the point total for each school is divided by the number of sports the school participated to reach the average. The TranSouth sponsors 13 sports and all 13 qualified for the trophy standings with at least four teams participating in each sport.
