JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/4/2008 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø cross country teams played host to an invitational race on their own campus Saturday. In the women's race, it was the 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs taking first place. The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men finished second in their race.
On the women's side, 91±¬ÁÏÍø placed first, followed by UT Martin, Bethel (Tenn.) College, and Crichton (Tenn.) College. The women's individual winner was Allie Proctor of UT Martin with a time of 19:47. 91±¬ÁÏÍø top runner, Lydia Bond, placed third with a time of 19:59.
The men's race saw UT Martin claim top spot, followed by 91±¬ÁÏÍø, Bethel, Blue Mountain (Miss.) College, and Lambuth (Tenn.) University. 91±¬ÁÏÍø's Seth Covington placed top among individuals racing on a team, and third overall with a time of 15:57. Former 91±¬ÁÏÍø cross country All-American Douglas Martin raced as unattached individual and won first place with a time of 15:19.

Up next for 91±¬ÁÏÍø cross country will be Southeastern Classic on October 25 at Berry (Ga.) College.
