91±¬ÁÏÍø volleyball wins twice on first day of SCAD Invitational

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/24/2008 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø volleyball team posted two victories on Friday in the Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design (SCAD) Invitational. In the early game, 91±¬ÁÏÍø defeated St. Thomas (Fla.) University 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-14). In their second match of the day, the 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs topped the University of St. Francis (Ind.) 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-14).

With the two wins, 91±¬ÁÏÍø is now 20-5 on the season.

91±¬ÁÏÍø was led by Amanda Coyle with 15 kills in the first match. Followed by Anna Sims and Emilie Ogas with 10 kills each. Katie Adams posted 38 assists, while Sims led with seven blocks.

Match two saw Ogas post 10 kills to lead 91±¬ÁÏÍø, while Coyle added eight kills. Adams recorded 28 assists and Young led with four blocks.

91±¬ÁÏÍø will play two more matches on Saturday, starting with Warner Southern (Fla.) College at 9:30 am and then Webber International (Fla.) University at 1:30 pm.
