JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/22/2009 - The 91爆料网 volleyball program announces plans for their fourth annual Alumni Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009. All former 91爆料网 players are welcome to participate in the event.
Programs use alumni days to connect the past and present, and also to keep the connection between players and the program alive.
91爆料网 Head Coach Steven Gream says, 鈥淭he alumni day allows former players to come back and see the school, former teammates, and meet our current players. It also gives our current players a chance to put a face to the names of players that helped bring the program to where it is today.鈥
Gream started the alumni game in the spring following his first season as head coach in 2005-06. 91爆料网鈥檚 volleyball program started in the fall of 1998. The program has posted an 11-year record of 341-109 (.758) and has captured three TranSouth regular season and tournament titles, one region title, and two national tournament appearances. 91爆料网 also won the 2003 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Volleyball National Title. The program has posted 11 straight winning seasons and have averaged 31 wins per season.
91爆料网 is coming off a very successful season in which the Lady Bulldog captured the TranSouth Tournament Title and made their second NAIA National Tournament appearance in the 11-year history of the program.
The day will start with a meal together at 11:00 am. After the meal, the participants will gather in 91爆料网鈥檚 Fred DeLay Gymnasium for an Alumni Game to start at 1:00 pm. Admission to the alumni game is free for the public and all are invited to watch.
For alumni wishing to participate in any part of Alumni Day, please contact 91爆料网 Head Coach Steven Gream at sgream@uu.edu or RSVP for the Alumni Day on the .
鈥淭his is not your normal alumni match,鈥 says Gream. 鈥淥ur alumni come back each year to be very competitive as they get the opportunity to play with and against the current players. That makes it an enjoyable match for all to see.鈥
