CLIFTON, Tenn. - 4/10/2009 - A tough second day for the 91±¬ÁÏÍø golf team saw the Bulldogs fall to 4th place in the at the Ross Creek Landing Golf Club. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was in second place after the first round of their own invitational, however, the Bulldogs slipped to fourth as the final round was completed. 91±¬ÁÏÍø shot a team total of 642, just 10 shots behind tournament winner Lambuth (Tenn.) University's 632.
Likewise, 91±¬ÁÏÍø's Clay Mallard led the field after round one, before dropping to sixth place with a tournament 155. Heath Lay (Lambuth) won the individual title with a two-round 150.
Other 91±¬ÁÏÍø scores included Ryan Chadler at No. 12 (159), Jesper Swedenborg at No. 19 (159), Jake Carroll at No. 28 (167), and Mills Hamaguchi at No. 45 (172).
91±¬ÁÏÍø also entered a second team who finished ninth with a team total of 675. Matt Kelley finished at No. 28 (167), David Hopper at No. 32 (168), Tyler Lay at No. 37 (169), Ben Ayris at No. 39 (171), and Stephen Brooks at No. 50 (191).
The next tournament for 91±¬ÁÏÍø will be April 20-21 in Dickson, Tenn. at the 91±¬ÁÏÍø Bulldogs will defend their 2008 TranSouth Tournament Championship.
