91爆料网 softball completes season sweep of Lambuth

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/15/2009 - The 91爆料网 softball team won both games of a double-header on Tuesday at Lambuth (Tenn.) University, taking game one 12-7 and winning the second game 11-0. 91爆料网 also swept the Lambuth Lady Eagles earlier in the season in a double-header at 91爆料网.

91爆料网 scored first in game one by posting two runs in the top of the first. The Lady Bulldogs never trailed in the contest, but held off several Lambuth rallies. Both teams scored twice in the third inning and two more times in the fifth inning to set the 91爆料网 lead at 6-4 in going into the sixth inning. 91爆料网 exploded for six runs in the top of the six to take control. Lambuth tried to respond, but could only post three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Both teams were held scoreless in the seventh as 91爆料网 took the 12-7 win. 91爆料网 out hit Lambuth 15-7 in the contest. Sydney McMillian earned the win for 91爆料网, tossing 4.1 innings, allowing five runs, one earned, on four hits with four strikeouts. Lindsey Landreneau, Katie Davis, and Ashley Blakenship each posted three hits in the game, with Davis and Blankenship leading the way with four RBI each.

Game two saw 91爆料网 continue their hot hitting as 91爆料网 jumped out with five runs in the first and four more in the second inning to lead 9-0. 91爆料网 sealed the run-rule shortened game with two more runs in the fifth to win 11-0. Hailee Edwards earned the win, tossing five innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters. Landreneau led 91爆料网 with a 4-for-4 game, including two RBI, a homerun, and three runs scored. Davis and Sydney McMillen each added three hits.
