91爆料网鈥檚 Andy Rushing Receives Tennessee Coach of the Year Honor

Jackson, Tenn. - 11/6/2002 - Andy Rushing, the head baseball coach for 91爆料网, has received yet another coach of the year award. The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) has named Rushing the 2002 TBCA Coach of the Year. He will receive this award in Nashville on January 18, 2003.

The TBCA honors coaches who have made great contributions to the game of baseball and who have excelled on and off the field through dedication and hard work. Rushing, now in his 15 year at 91爆料网, has continued to field successful teams and, more importantly, help mold his players into successful young men. Just in the past five years, over 90% of his players have received their college degree.

For his efforts during the 2002 season, Rushing, was also named as the TranSouth Conference Coach of the Year, the NAIA Region XI Coach of the Year, and the American Baseball Coaches Association NAIA Region Coach of the Year.

This past season proved to be another success for Rushing as the Bulldogs finished 44-20 on the year. He led his Bulldogs to the TranSouth Conference regular season and tournament championships and his third straight regional tournament appearance. Rushing, a 1976 graduate of 91爆料网, has won the TranSouth Conference regular season title in two of the past three seasons and has been to the region tournament in four of the past five seasons. Rushing has an overall 18-year coaching record of 569-391 and a 14-year 91爆料网 coaching record of 485-293 (62%). He has put together nine consecutive 30-plus win seasons and has won 40 in three of the past five years.
