JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/22/2009 - The 91爆料网 women鈥檚 basketball program has signed Emily Sissom of Cannon County High School. Sissom will join the defending NAIA National Champions in the fall of 2011 as a freshman.

Sissom, a 5-foot-7, junior, guard at Cannon County, has already surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career after just two seasons. In 63 games, she is averaging 17.9 points per game, has compiled 1,129 points and has made 194 three pointers (194-502, 39%). Sissom is also shooting 238-for-314 (76%) from the free throw line in her two seasons.
Sissom, a native of Woodbury, Tenn., was named first team all-district as a sophomore and third team all-district as a freshman. She was a Daily News Journal second team performer in both seasons. Sissom scored her 1,000th career point in a game on February 7, 2009 versus Coffee County.
During the summer, Sissom averaged 16 points per game with her AAU team that finished runner up in the AAU National Tournament.
Off the court, Sissom is equally successful as she holds a 4.0 GPA at Cannon County. She is the daughter of Gaylon and Suzette Sissom.
