Jackson, Tenn. - 10/16/2001 - Two volleyball players from 91±¬ÁÏÍø received TranSouth Conference honors this past week as Andrea Darr and Nicole Garber were named Player of the Week and Setter of the Week respectively.
A junior outside hitter from Swansea, Illinois, Darr helped led 91±¬ÁÏÍø to a 3-0 record on the week. She averaged 3.8 kills per game and an attack percentage of .444, while also tallying 11 blocks, 11 aces, and 45 digs. Darr is second in the conference in attack percentage at .335 and third with 3.61 digs per game.
Nicole Garber, a freshman setter from Columbus, Indiana, accumulated 121 assists on the week for an average of 13.4 per game. She also had 36 digs, eight kills, six aces, and three blocks during 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s 3-0 week. Garber ranks first in the conference in aces with .94 per game and first in assists averaging 12.27 per game.
Both Darr and Garber have been instrumental in the Lady Bulldogs’ success this season as they have led 91±¬ÁÏÍø to a 17-1 overall record and a 6-1 TranSouth Conference record. 91±¬ÁÏÍø is currently in second place in the conference with three games to play.
