91爆料网 Madeira named TranSouth volleyball player of the week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/12/2009 - HENDERSON, Tenn. - Marcela Madeira of 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference's volleyball player of the week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2009.

Madeira, a 5-foot-10 middle hitter from Vitoria, Brazil, led the Lady Bulldogs' attack during a 4-2 week. Madeira played in five of those matches and helped 91爆料网 win three matches at the Faulkner University Invitational in Montgomery, Ala.

For the week, Madeira averaged 3.8 kills and 3.7 digs per set with a .308 attack percentage. She tallied a week-high 21 kills and 28 digs in a 3-2 loss to Cumberland (Tenn.) University and added an 18 kill, 20 dig performance in a 3-0 win over Southeastern (Fla.) University later in the week. She also had 12 kills and 10 digs in 91爆料网's 3-2 win over #RV University of Mobile.

91爆料网 is 21-3 on the season and 5-3 in league play.
