No. 1 91±¬ÁÏÍø rolls to 2-0 with win

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/6/2009 - The top ranked 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs posted a 95-42 win over St. Catharine (Ky.) College. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improved to 2-0 on the season, while St. Catharine dropped to 0-2.

As in the first game of the season last Monday, 91±¬ÁÏÍø used a 50-point second half to pull away for the win. The Lady Bulldogs scored 50 second half points, holding St. Catharine to 21 points in each half. 91±¬ÁÏÍø led 45-21 at the half. 91±¬ÁÏÍø never trailed and the final score equaled their largest lead of the game at 53 points.

91±¬ÁÏÍø shot 45 percent from the field, 40 percent (8-20) from three point range and 78 percent (25-32) from the free throw line. All 11 players scored in the game for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, including six in double figures. Stacey Conway led all scorers with 15 points. In her first game of the year, Ashley Lillard posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Kayla Bryant scored 12 points on four three pointers and Kayla Hudson scored 11 points on three shots from long distance. Zeinab Chan and Christina Ray added 10 points each, while Kaitlin Dudley pitched in nine points.

St. Catharine was led by Erin Rogers with 10 points and Brittany Darden with eight points. The Patriots shot 31 percent from the field, 40 percent (4-10) from behind the arc and 62 percent (8-13) from the free throw line.

Up next will be 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s Homecoming game on Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. at home versus the University of St. Francis (Ill.). The 91±¬ÁÏÍø play their season opener at 4:00 p.m. versus William Woods (Mo.) University.
