91爆料网 men鈥檚 basketball takes first loss of season to No. 25 Olivet Nazarene

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/9/2009 - The No. 11 91爆料网 men鈥檚 basketball team could not overcome a cold shooting night and fell 69-66 to No. 25 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University on Monday night at 91爆料网. The Bulldogs dropped to 1-1 on the season, while Olivet Nazarene improved to 2-0. 91爆料网 will have the opportunity to even the series when the Bulldogs travel to Olivet Nazarene on December 12.

91爆料网 took a seven-point first half lead at 24-17, however, Olivet was able to rally for a 32-29 halftime lead.

In the second half, Olivet found their shooting touch after both team struggled in the first 20 minutes. Olivet pushed their lead to as many as 11 points in the second half, 60-49. However the 91爆料网 Bulldogs rallied back over the final minutes of play, outscoring the Tigers 17-9 over the final five minutes, but just could not get over the hump.

The Tigers posted 55 percent shooting in the second half, including 63 percent shooting from behind the arc (5-8) in the final 20 minutes. 91爆料网 made just 37 percent of their shots from the field in the game, including a dismal 13 percent (3-24) from three point range.

91爆料网 was led by Greg Truvillion with 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Samual Danache and Keith Tolliver added 10 points each in the contest.

Olivet Nazarene was led by Antonio Marshal with a game-high 21 points, including 16 points in the second half, including three second half three pointers. Tyler Wallenfang added 12 points and Josh Bronke scored 10 points.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be two games in the McKendree (Ill.) Classic on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14. 91爆料网 plays Harris-Stowe (Mo.) on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and then McKendree on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
