91爆料网 women鈥檚 soccer season ends with 1-0 loss

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/10/2009 - The 91爆料网 women鈥檚 soccer program lost 1-0 in the semifinals of the 2009 TranSouth Conference Tournament to Bethel (Tenn.) University. The loss ended 91爆料网鈥檚 season at 9-6-2, while Bethel advanced with a 5-5-5 record.

91爆料网鈥檚 No. 2 seed in the conference tournament was the highest seed for 91爆料网 in the five-year history of the program. The Lady Bulldogs finished second in the regular season with a 4-1-1 league record, including a 1-0 win over Bethel in the regular season.

As the matched looked to be heading to halftime with a scoreless first 45mintues, Bethel hit the back of the net with a goal from Marika Fukuta in the 43rd minute of play. That goal proved to be the game winner as Bethel advanced to the title game with win.

91爆料网 and Bethel each recorded nine shots in the match, with Bethel edged 91爆料网 with a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Laura Pla, the all-conference goalie for 91爆料网, recorded five saves while Jackie Gardner of Bethel earned three saves.
