No. 18 91爆料网 takes top spot in TranSouth with win over Mid-Continent

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/18/2010 - The No. 18 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University Bulldogs improved to 5-0 in the TranSouth Conference with an 82-53 win over Mid-Continent (Ky.) University. 91爆料网, winners of five straight, improved to 14-5 on the season and takes over the top spot in the conference. Mid-Continent dropped to 9-9 overall and 2-2 in league play.

91爆料网 opened with a 20-2 run, including the game鈥檚 first 13 points, thanks to three 3-pointers during that span for Stan McNeil. The Bulldogs maintained a double digit lead over the remainder of the half, going up by as many as 22 points, 34-12, with 5:26 left in the half. With 91爆料网 leading 40-19 with 2:49 left, Mid-Continent put together a 9-0 run to close out the half, cutting their deficit to 40-28.

In the second half, 91爆料网 scored on their first possession to snap the run Mid-Continent that ended the first half. 91爆料网 continued to slowly extend their lead back to 18 points, 49-31 with 15:24 left. The Cougars rallied again, cutting the lead down to 12 points at 49-37, but did not get any closer. 91爆料网 again went on a big run, outscoring Mid-Continent 23-4 over the next five minutes to push their lead out to 31 points, 72-41. 91爆料网 led by as many as 32 points late in the game, before closing out with the 82-53 win.

91爆料网 was led by McNeil with a game-high 21 points, including 5-of-8 from behind the arc. Greg Truvillion recorded his 10th double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Keith Tolliver and Antoine Joseph added 11 points each, while Tacuma Alexander scored 10 points. 91爆料网 shot 48 percent from the field, 40 percent (8-20) from behind the arc, and 80 percent (20-25) from the free-throw line.

Mid-Continent was led by Keiran Nunley with 12 points. Kenny Thomas, Donovan Willis and Joshua Woodley each added 10 points. The Cougars shot 30 percent from the field, 17 percent (3-18) and 50 percent (8-16) from the free-throw line.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a road conference game at Cumberland (Tenn.) University on Thursday, January 21 at 8:00 p.m.
