BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. - 1/23/2010 - The 91爆料网 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams earned wins on Saturday at Blue Mountain (Miss.) College. The No. 1 ranked 91爆料网 women posted a 98-57 win, while the No. 18 91爆料网 men pulled away for a 76-62 win.
91爆料网鈥檚 men led 40-29 at the half with the help of 11 first half points by Antoine Joseph. In the second half, Blue Mountain made the game close as they pulled to within six points, 61-55 with just over three minutes remaining. However, Stan McNeil sank his fifth 3-pointer of the night to spark an 8-0 run for the Bulldogs as they closed out the 76-62 conference road win. 91爆料网 is now 15-6 overall and 6-1 in the TranSouth. Blue Mountain dropped to 0-20 on the season and 0-5 in league play.
91爆料网鈥檚 men were led by Greg Truvillion with 22 points, including 16 in the second half. McNeal added 16 points and Joseph finished with 11 points. 91爆料网 shot 41 percent from the field, 32 percent (8-25) from behind the arc and 71 percent 12-17 from the free-throw line. Blue Mountain鈥檚 Renell Collins, the reigning TranSouth Player of the week, scored a game-high 31 points.
In the women鈥檚 game, 91爆料网 used a late first half run to pull out to a 47-26 halftime lead. Top-ranked 91爆料网 extended their lead in the second half as they coasted to the 98-57 victory. 91爆料网 is now 20-1 on the season and 7-0 in the TranSouth. Blue Mountain dropped to 8-11 overall and 1-4 in league play.
91爆料网鈥檚 women were led by Kaitlin Dudley with a game-high 22 points. Five other Lady Bulldogs recorded double figures including Kayla Hudson with 14 points, while Sara Chan, Ashley Lillard, Jessica Graves and Lavanda Ross each scored 13 points. 91爆料网 shot 50 percent from the field, 26 percent (8-31) from 3-point range and 75 percent (6-8) from the free-throw line.
Both 91爆料网 teams are off until Thursday, January 28 when the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs host Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.). Both games will be for sole possession of first place in the TranSouth standings at the midway point. 91爆料网 and Trevecca鈥檚 women both sit at 7-0 in the TranSouth, while the men鈥檚 teams are both at 6-1 in league play.
