No. 15 91±¬ÁÏÍø rolls past No. 20 Trevecca Nazarene 101-60

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/28/2010 - The No. 15 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University Bulldogs posted a 101-60 win over No. 20 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University on Thursday. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improved to 16-6 on the season and 7-1 in the TranSouth play. Trevecca Nazarene dropped to 14-6 overall and 5-2 in league play.

Trevecca Nazarene jumped out early with a quick 10-2 run to start the game. 91±¬ÁÏÍø slowly began to rally back and with 12:47 left, 91±¬ÁÏÍø led 15-14. Over the next three minutes, both teams swapped the lead a few times before Trevecca Nazarene held the slim 24-23 lead at the 9:08 mark.

However, for the remained of the half, it was all 91±¬ÁÏÍø. The Bulldogs finished the half with a 31-4 run to take a 54-28 halftime lead. A 14-0 run spark the big run including 3-pointers from Greg Truvillion, Alan North and Antione Joseph.

In the second half, neither team scored for almost three minutes to start play. 91±¬ÁÏÍø finally broke the drought with a basket from Truvillion. The Trojans pulled as close as 23 points, while 91±¬ÁÏÍø led by as many as 46 points, 101-55. Including the 31-4 run to close out the first half, 91±¬ÁÏÍø outscored Trevecca Nazarene 78-36 over the remained of the context to win 101-60.

91±¬ÁÏÍø was led with five players in double figures. Stan McNeil scored a game-high 19 points, including 5-of-8 from behind the arc. Truvillion scored 17 points, while Keith Tollivar posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Samuel Danache added 12 points and Martez Hawkins scored 10 points. 91±¬ÁÏÍø shot 49 percent from the field, 48 percent (12-25) from behind the arc and 79 percent (15-19) from the free-throw line. 91±¬ÁÏÍø committed just seven turnovers in the game.

The Trojans was led by Jeremy Dixon with 17 points. Michael France scored 11 points, while Matthew Elliott added 10 points. Trevecca Nazarene shot 36 percent from the field, 38 percent (8-21) from beyond the arc and 73 percent (8-11) from the free-throw line.

91±¬ÁÏÍø is off until Thursday, February 4 when the Bulldogs travel to Bethel (Tenn.) University for an 8:00 p.m. game. 91±¬ÁÏÍø won the earlier meeting with Bethel 78-64.
