91爆料网鈥檚 Graves, Chan pass 1,000 career points in same game

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/12/2010 - 91爆料网 senior and junior each passed the 1,000 career points mark in 91爆料网鈥檚 win at Lyon (Ark.) College on Thursday. Graves and Chan became the second and third Lady Bulldog players to reach 1,000 career points in the span of three games.

Junior guard Kayla Hudson reached her 1,000 career points in a 91爆料网 win at Bethel (Tenn.) last Thursday. 91爆料网 also had a 2,000 career point milestone reached when senior Katilin Dudley hit the mark back in January.

Chan, a 6-foot-4 center from Sudan, entered the game needing just four points to reach 1,000. She scored a game high 20 to push her well over the mark. Chan, a member of the 2008 TranSouth All-Freshman team, has played in the shadows of two-time NAIA Player of the Year Josephine Owino for the past two seasons. However, this season, Chan is averaging 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds for the No. 1 ranked Lady Bulldogs. She played a key role in last season national championship, averaging 10 points and six rebounds in the tournament, including 23 points in the semifinals. For her career, Chan has 1,016 points (10.7) and 662 (7.0) rebounds in 95 games with 91爆料网.

Graves, a 5-foot-4 guard from Humboldt, Tenn., needed 11 points to reach the mark of 1,000 career points. She had just enough as she finished the game with 12 points to surpass the mark. Graves has played on two NAIA National Championships teams for 91爆料网. She was a member of the 2006 TranSouth All-Freshman team. On the season, she is averaging eight points, two rebounds and two assists per game. For her career, Graves has 1,001 (8.2) career points in 122 games. She has also made .413 percent (147-356) in her career from behind the arc.
