No. 10 91爆料网 wins 76-50 over Cumberland for seventh straight victory

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/15/2010 - The No. 10 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 basketball team cruised to a 76-50 win over Cumberland (Tenn.) University on Monday night. The win for 91爆料网 avenged the only loss in conference play and extended their winning streak to seven games.

91爆料网 improved to 21-6 on the season and 12-1 in the TranSouth. 91爆料网 has a one game lead with three games to play in the regular season. The Bulldogs have won 13-of-15 games since returning from Christmas.

During 91爆料网鈥檚 seven game winning streak, the Bulldogs have not allowed anyone to score over 65 points. Only three times in 91爆料网's 15 games since Christmas has anyone scored over 70 points, with 75 being the highest allowed this semester.

91爆料网 opened this game with a three pointer from Keith Tolliver and led 7-5 following a three pointer from Lindal Yarbrough of Cumberland. That basket from Cumberland was their last point for almost 10 minutes of play and their last field goal for a stretch of 13 minutes. During that 10 minute stretch, 91爆料网 exploded for a 16-0 run to take a 23-5 lead at the 8:23 mark. 91爆料网 stretched their first half lead to as many as 21 points twice, including the 40-19 halftime lead following a three pointer from Tacuma Alexander at the buzzer.

In the second half, 91爆料网 controlled the game, outscoring Cumberland 36-31. Cumberland got as close as 18 points, 52-34, at the 12:53 mark. 91爆料网 then posted another big run of 20-8 to extend their lead to 30 points, 72-42, their biggest of the night. 91爆料网 cruised down the stretch to the 76-50 win.

91爆料网 was led by senior forward Greg Truvllion with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Roland Banhoro added 12 points and Antoine Joseph scored 11 points. All 12 91爆料网 Bulldogs played with 10 finding the scoring column. 91爆料网 shot 48 percent from the field, 22 percent (4-18) from behind the arc and 70 percent (16-23) from the free-throw line.

Cumberland was led by Adrian Williamson with 11 points. Brandon Springer, the reigning TranSouth Player of the Week and the No. 3 ranked NAIA scorer at 23.8 points per game was held to just nine points. Cumberland shot 32 percent from the field, 13 percent (2-15) from behind the arc and 58 percent (14-24) from the free-throw line.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a road conference game at Mid-Continent (Ky.) on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
