ATHERTON, Calif. - 7/13/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University sports information department earned eight top-10 publication awards during the 2010 NAIA-SIDA meetings. The NAIA-SIDA meetings were held on July 3 at Menlo (Calif.) College in conjunction with the CoSIDA Convention in San Francisco, Calif. on July 4-7.
The NAIA-SIDA sponsors publication contests in numerous categories with the top 10 places announced in each. The winners are recognized during the Clarence "Ike" Pearson Award Luncheon during the meetings ().
91±¬ÁÏÍø placed in the top-10 in eight different categories. The eight top-10 awards is the highest amount for 91±¬ÁÏÍø sports information in one school year. Since 2000, Aldridge's first year, 91±¬ÁÏÍø sports information has tallied 45 top-10 awards, including four first place awards.

The 91±¬ÁÏÍø sports information department is made up of Aldridge and several student workers. Allison Caldwell (Lexington, Tenn.), Emily Davis (Hendersonville, Tenn.), Lindsey Wallach (Eureka, Mo.) and Tyler Boone (Clarksville, Tenn.) are all very instrumental in the success of producing these materials. Cam Tracy the 91±¬ÁÏÍø webmaster was the designer for the website, while the sports information staff was responsible for the material and updating information.
During the meetings, Aldridge was re-elected to serve a second term on the NAIA-SIDA board as an officer. He is also active in the NAIA as a contest coordinator and has been the media coordinator for the women's basketball national championships three times and the softball national championships once. He is currently the TranSouth Conference baseball and cross country SID.
