91爆料网 women's soccer takes season opener 7-2

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/3/2010 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University women鈥檚 soccer team posted a 7-2 win over Emmanuel (Ga.) College in their season opener on Friday night. 91爆料网 starts 1-0 while, Emmanuel dropped to 0-2 on the season.

91爆料网鈥檚 Samantha Gase led the way with a hat trick of three goals, all scored within a five-minute span.

91爆料网 head coach Brandon Boylan says, 鈥淚t was a great first match. I was proud of the patience the girls showed tonight and the way they finished their scoring opportunities.鈥�

91爆料网 score first with a goal from Steffi King in the 15th minute. Just 30 second later, 91爆料网鈥檚 Gase scored the first of her three consecutive goals. 91爆料网 led 4-0 in the 20th minute. Kyndal Bradford scored two straight goals to put 91爆料网 up 6-0, before Emmanuel鈥檚 Jordana Schultz put her team on the board just before the half. 91爆料网 led 6-1 at the break.

In the second half, a goal from 91爆料网鈥檚 Terilyn Wassell in the 55th minute and a goal from Emmanuel鈥檚 Ashlee Shapland set the final at 7-2.

91爆料网 got assists from King (2), Rachel Boswell, Bradford. Sarah White played the first 63 minutes in goal and faced not shots. Emily Warren finished the game, recording one save in her 27 minutes of work.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a home match on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 5:00 p.m. versus NCAA DII Delta State (Miss.) University. These matches are a part of the 91爆料网 Classic.
