91爆料网 falls in Greystone Cup 9-7

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/21/2010 - The 2010 Greystone Cup goes to the Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University men's golf team. Trevecca defeated 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University in the Second Annual Greystone Cup, the Trojans second win in as many years. The rules of play are similar to the Ryder Cup Matches. The winner is the first team to accumulate a total of 8 陆 points. Trevecca won this year鈥檚 event 9-7.

The event was held at two different courses this year. Monday鈥檚 play took place at Trevecca鈥檚 home course, the Old Hickory Country Club (Old Hickory, Tenn.). Tuesday鈥檚 play moved to 91爆料网鈥檚 home course, the Jackson National (Jackson, Tenn.).

The third and final round on Tuesday (9/21) was played at Jackson National. All eight members of each team played a head-to-head 18-hole Match Play round against someone from the other team. Trevecca won the Alternate Shot round 4 陆 to 3 1/2 .

The winning putt was made by Trevecca junior David Saldana, he was one down to 91爆料网鈥檚 Matt Kelly with two holes to go. Saldana鈥檚 birdie on 17 gave him the hole win and evened the match. A four-foot par putt on hole number 18 gave Saldana and the Trojans the win.

Trevecca led after the first two rounds on Monday 4 1/2 to 3 1/2

The event is named after Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn., located relatively close to a midpoint between the two schools, wasn't available for play due to the course needing to revive its greens after extreme weather conditions this summer.

Up next for 91爆料网 golf will be the Murray State (Ky.) Invitational on October 4-5.
