91爆料网 men鈥檚 soccer stops skid with 3-0 win over Cumberland

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/9/2010 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 soccer team halted their two-match losing streak with a 3-0 win over Cumberland (Tenn.) University. 91爆料网 improved to 9-2 on the season and 2-2 in the TranSouth. Cumberland dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in the TranSouth.

91爆料网 scored early and often as Dejan Kostic started the big first half with a goal in the 16th minute on a penalty kick. Eleven minutes later, 91爆料网鈥檚 Diego Santos scored his team-high eighth goal of the season to put 91爆料网 up 2-0. Alysson Mohl and Kostic earned assists on the play. Then just four minutes later, 91爆料网鈥檚 Guilherme Reis found the back of the net with a goal, assisted by Kostic. 91爆料网 outshot Cumberland 10-1 in the first half, including 4-1 in shots on goal.

In the second half, the pace slowed for 91爆料网 as both teams managed just one shot each over the first 20 minutes. 91爆料网 finished the match leading the shot totals 13-3 overall and 5-2 in shots on goal. Rainer Hauss recorded two saves in his 90 minutes in net. Gubby John-Williams had two saves for Cumberland.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a road non-conference match on Tuesday, October 12 at Williams Baptist (Ark.).
