91爆料网 men鈥檚 soccer tops Martin Methodist 1-0

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/19/2010 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 soccer team posted a 1-0 win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College. 91爆料网 improved to 12-2 on the season and 3-2 in the TranSouth. Martin Methodist dropped to 6-4-2 overall and 3-4 in league play.

In the first half, 91爆料网 scored on a goal from Diego Santos in the 33rd minute to put the Bulldogs up 1-0. For Santos, it was his team-best 10th goal of the season. 91爆料网 controlled the first half, out-shooting Martin Methodist 10-2, including 5-0 in shots on goal. The score was 1-0 at the half.

Martin Methodist picked up the pace in the second half as they produce seven shots, including two on goal over the first 30 minutes of play. 91爆料网 managed just two shots during that same stretch. However, 91爆料网鈥檚 defense and the reigning TranSouth defensive player of the week, Rainer Hauss preserved the 1-0 lead.

Hauss finished with two saves, while James Colman had five saves and just one goal allowed in his 90 minutes in goal for the RedHawks. 91爆料网 out-shot Martin Methodist 14-9 in the match, including 6-2 in shots on goal.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be their senior night on Friday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. versus Christian Brothers (Tenn.).
