JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/23/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University men's soccer team lost a 2-0 lead late in the match to fall 3-2 on senior night to Christian Brothers (Tenn.) University. 91±¬ÁÏÍø dropped to 12-3 on the season, while Christian Brothers improved to 5-8-1 overall.
91±¬ÁÏÍø led 2-0 thanks to goals from Dejan Kostic and William Hanna in the 38th and 61st minutes of play respectively. However, with just 20 minutes left in the match, Christian Brothers got on the board with a goal from Andrew Ballard. 91±¬ÁÏÍø still held the 2-1 lead as the match approached three minutes remaining.
In the 87th minute, Christian Brothers tied the match on a goal from Jack Richardson. Then, just 46 seconds later, Yannick Skull gave CBU the lead and the win with a goal.
91±¬ÁÏÍø goallie Mike Phelan recorded six saves, but allowed the three goals. Jaime Garcia posted no saves and allowed two goals for Christian Brothers in the net. Christian Brothers dominated the match by outshooting 91±¬ÁÏÍø 14-7, including 9-2 in shots on goal.
Sutton Shults recorded an assist for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, while Richarson and Skull each recorded one assist for CBU.
Up next for 91±¬ÁÏÍø will be a conference match on Tuesday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel (Tenn.).
