91±¬ÁÏÍø women favored in TranSouth, Chan, Hudson and Ross honored

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/25/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University women's basketball team has been voted as the favorite to repeat in the TranSouth Conference preseason rankings. 91±¬ÁÏÍø also led with three players on the preseason all-conference team. Zeinab Chan was selected as the preseason player of the year. Kayla Hudson and Lavanda Ross joined Chan on the preseason all-conference team.

91±¬ÁÏÍø has won three straight TranSouth Regular Season Titles and in the 14-year history of the league. 91±¬ÁÏÍø has also won 10-of-14 TranSouth Tournament Titles. Over the past six years, 91±¬ÁÏÍø has won four national titles, and advanced to at least the semifinal round in all six years.

91±¬ÁÏÍø has also won 51 straight TranSouth regular season games.

The Lady Bulldogs graduate three players, including the reigning TranSouth Player of the Year, Kaitlin Dudley. Dudley also left 91±¬ÁÏÍø as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,385 points.

91±¬ÁÏÍø returns three NAIA All-Americans in Chan, Hudson and Ross. Those three along with several newcomers and red-shirt players will look to continue one of the most successful stretches in the history of women's college basketball.
