91爆料网 men鈥檚 soccer in semifinals after PK shootout with Lyon

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/6/2010 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 soccer team played to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Lyon (Ark.) College in the first round of the TranSouth Conference Tournament. In the shootout, 91爆料网 won 5-4 to advance to the semifinals to face top seeded Bethel (Tenn.) on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

91爆料网 made good on all five penalty kicks in the shootout, with the clincher coming from goalie Rainer Hauss. Hauss recorded the only stop in the PK round on Lyon鈥檚 first attempt.

In the seventh minute of play, Lyon took the quick lead on a goal from Serhiy Zhykin. Lyon held the 1-0 lead until 91爆料网 tied the match with 33 seconds left before the half on a goal from Brian Castro.

91爆料网 goalie Rainer Hauss recorded six saves in the match on the seven shots on goal he faced. Matthew Kelley recorded four saves on the five 91爆料网 shots on goal. 91爆料网 outshot Lyon 18-12, but it was Lyon with the 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
