NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 11/9/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University women's basketball dropped an exhibition game to the SEC's Vanderbilt (Tenn.) University 90-61. This marks the second straight season 91±¬ÁÏÍø and Vanderbilt have met in exhibition action with Vandy taking last season's game 69-48.

91±¬ÁÏÍø looked good early as they scored the game's first five points and led 14-5 at the 12 minute mark. However, the tide turned quickly as Vanderbilt rolled off 23 straight points as part of a 35-5 run. Vandy led 46-26 at the end of the first half.

The Commodores got 28 points in the paint and 31 points off 17 91±¬ÁÏÍø turnovers. Vanderbilt sank 74 percent of their free throws (17-23), while 91±¬ÁÏÍø hit 64 percent (7-11) from the charity stripe.

Vandy was led by Christina Foggie with 27 points, including 7-of-11 from three-point range. Elan Brown hit 5-of-6 three's as a part of her 21 points. Jasmine Lister added 10 points.

As in the Tennessee loss two days prior, rebounding was a factor. 91±¬ÁÏÍø lost the battle of the boards to Vandy 41-23, including 16-8 offensively.

Up next for 91±¬ÁÏÍø will be a home game against NAIA No. 12 Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m.
