JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/16/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University baseball team is ranked No. 16 in the NAIA Preseason Rankings. 91±¬ÁÏÍø finished last season with a 42-17 record and runner-up in the TranSouth regular season and tournament.
91±¬ÁÏÍø also advanced to their second straight NAIA National Championships Opening Round in which the Bulldogs went 1-2.
91±¬ÁÏÍø was also voted second in the TranSouth Preseason Poll voted on by the coaches. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was 14-5 last season in their second place finish behind Cumberland (Tenn.). 91±¬ÁÏÍø was the only team to defeat Cumberland in their final 30 games of the season.
Cumberland, the reigning conference and NAIA National Champion, was voted to repeat in the TranSouth. They also earned the top spot in the NAIA rankings.
91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s 2011 baseball season will begin on Friday, February 4 versus Clarke (Iowa).
