91爆料网 Soccer Receives NSCAA Academic Award

Jackson, Tenn. - 4/1/2003 - The 91爆料网 men鈥檚 soccer program earned the very prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. This honor goes to soccer teams which have a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The selections are made from the almost 1,200 men鈥檚 soccer teams in all divisions (NCAA and NAIA).

91爆料网 was among just 67 men鈥檚 teams selected for this award out of 1,158 total teams, which places them among the top 6%. The Bulldogs鈥� team GPA over the 2001-02 school year was a 3.07. Only 51 teams in all of men鈥檚 college soccer finished with a higher team GPA.

The Bulldogs are named among colleges and universities such as Clemson, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Pennsylvania, Seton Hall, and Wheaton.

Head coach Dr. Darin White says, 鈥淭his is a very nice honor for our team and school.鈥� White adds, 鈥淚t鈥檚 is great to be mentioned among some of the top schools in the nation because of our academic accomplishments.鈥�

In the fall of 2002, 91爆料网 finished their fifth year of varsity competition. The Bulldogs finished 13-10-1 overall and 3-4 in the TranSouth. They won their third NCCAA MidEast Region Championship in four seasons. The Bulldogs finished seventh in the NCCAA National Tournament.
