JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/19/2010 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University cross country teams put five runners on the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete lists. Women runner , and , along with from the men’s team each earned the honor.
For Hauss, this is her second NAIA Scholar Athlete honor, while Clardy, Wilson and Wellum are receiving the honor for the first time.
The NAIA has announced that 306 women's cross country student-athletes have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The NAIA has announced that 184 men's cross country student-athletes have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
The 91±¬ÁÏÍø teams will be competing in the NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Washington. 91±¬ÁÏÍø captured both TranSouth titles, while both teams also earned first place finishes in the NAIA Qualifying Meet.
