JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/4/2011 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) University softball team has signed of New Madrid, Missouri to play softball. Robey will enter 91±¬ÁÏÍø in the fall of 2011 as a freshman and will major in chemistry as she works to become a pharmacist.
Robey, a 5-foot-10 pitcher, comes to 91±¬ÁÏÍø from New Madrid (Mo.) Central High School where she played softball and volleyball. In softball, Robey was named MVP and team captain as a sophomore and junior, while being named the spring player of the year three times. In volleyball, Robey earned second team all-district once and all-conference three times during her career. Robey posted a pitching record of 38-3. She struck out 227 batters in 92 innings, while going 15-0 as a junior. She also recorded four no-hitters and two perfect games in her junior season.
Off the field, Robey was a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America and Singing Eagles. She was the senior class and student council treasurer, and was a representative to Missouri Girls State.
Robey is the daughter of Michael and Marchelle Robey of New Madrid.
