No. 16 91爆料网 baseball rallies for TranSouth win over Lyon

JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/18/2011 - The No. 16 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University baseball team rallied for a 7-4 win over Lyon (Ark.) College on Friday. 91爆料网 improved to 19-4 on the season and 4-0 in league play. Lyon dropped to 11-13 overall and 0-4 in league play.

Lyon jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first when three of the first four batters reached base. Jim Gossett鈥檚 two-RBI single did the damage for Lyon.

The score remained 1-0 until 91爆料网 posted a tally in the third and then took the lead with three runs in the fourth. A two-RBI double by Danny Grimm capped off the fourth and gave 91爆料网 their first lead. Lyon added a run in the fifth and another in the eighth, while 91爆料网 scored single runs in each the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

Cole McAdams homered for 91爆料网 to lead off the seventh inning. He finished the game leading 91爆料网 with three hits in five at-bats, with two RBI and one run scored. Brett Pawlen, Kian Jost and Doug Joyce each added two hits. Grimm added two RBI.

Jeremey Stack earned the win with eight innings of work, allowing nine hits and striking out nine batters. Matt Fike earned the save with a perfect ninth inning and one strike out.

91爆料网 and Lyon will complete the three-game series on Saturday with a double-header starting at noon.
